Kate has been long admired for her hair. Fans have praised her thick and luscious natural locks from the beginning of her romance with Prince William almost two decades ago.
In a new video on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Instagram account Kate thanks Britons for taking part in the Hold Still 2020 photography scheme.
In the initiative, Kate asked Britons to send in photographs that summed up their experience amid lockdown.
The Duchess said in the video: “I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who submitted an image to Hold Still.
“I launched the project with the National Portrait Gallery back in May because I wanted to find a way to allow everyone to share their stories and experiences of lockdown.
“We have been thrilled by the response to the project and I couldn’t be more grateful to each and every one of the 31,000 people who submitted an image.”
The message read: “The portraits that illustrate your stories and experiences of lockdown have shown just how much communities have come together during this difficult year.
“For the past four weeks, our community exhibition has taken the final 100 portraits back to the communities that took them.”
Fans piled into praise the Duchess in the video.

“Class and grace personified. She is just such a beautiful person. What a wonderful project,” another said.
The video has been viewed almost 2.5 million times and many of those viewers will have noticed Kate’s significantly lighter hair.
Once a dark chestnut blonde, Kate appears to have turned to the bleach for some sunny highlights.
It’s not the first time Kate has lightened her hair.
In November last year Kate wowed with a blonder look.
One Twitter user wrote: “Kate’s hair is getting lighter and lighter and I’m not quite sure why. Is she going blonde or is this it?”
One chipped in with one theory as to why the mother-of-three might have lightened her hair.
They wrote she may have done it “to try and look younger and to hide the grey hair.”
However, another disagreed: “She’s brunette. She coloured it twice this year, the last being after their private island holiday.”
A hair stylist recently suggested Kate had adopted a new hair style to “portray herself royal and classic in contrast to Meghan.”
Frédéric Fekkai, celebrity stylist whose clients include Demi Moore, Hilary Clinton, Scarlett Johansson and Renee Zellweger, gave his professional opinion to Express.co.uk on Kate’s undo do Remembrance Sunday.
He said: “For this historic day celebration, we see Kate Middleton move away from her usual signature bouncy blowdry with a spin on the classic French twist.
“I believe Kate wants to portray herself more royal and classic and to contrast from Meghan.”
How did Kate Middleton become a royal?
Kate Middleton, or Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, was born on 9 January 1982 at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, England.
She was born to Michael and Carole Middleton, a former flight dispatcher and air hostess. The couple founded a party supplies company, Party Pieces, in 1987 – now estimated to be worth £30 million.
Kate has a younger sister Pippa Matthews, 34, and a younger brother James Middleton, 31.
Kate and her family moved to Amman, Jordan, in 1984, where the future Duchess was educated at an English-speaking nursery school.
After moving back to Berkshire the family sent Kate to private school, St Andrews School. She went on to briefly study at Downe House before moving onto Marlborough College where she boarded.
For university the young Kate attended the University of St Andrews in Fife, Scotland. Here she was awarded an undergraduate MA (2:1 Hons) in history of art.
Relationship with Prince William
Kate met Prince William when they were both studying at St Andrews, and both living in St Salvator’s Hall. Famously, William reportedly took a fancy to Kate after she wore a see-through dress during a fashion show.
In 2003 the couple began dating and lived together during their second year of university.
The couple split in April 2007, however, in October they were back together.
Prince William proposed to Kate Middleton with his late mother Princess Diana’s engagement ring in October 2010. The couple were holidaying in Kenya at the time.
On 29 April 2011 they married at Westminster Abbey with a whopping 26 million watching the event live.
Kate wore an Alexander McQueen dress worth a reported £250,000 on the big day.
Kate assumed the title “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge” and also became the Duchess of Cambridge on the day.
